Hello Angels,
Last week was the first full week back and all teams were in action, including adding another Championship to the board, this one with our Middle School 7th grade girls team in the St. Lucy tournament!
Girls Basketball lost to Prairie on Tuesday 61-41, Sadie Gilbert had 12 points and 5 assists. The girls also lost at Dominican on Friday night 66-57, Molly O'Regan had 17 points and Shea Coca added 9 in the loss.
Boys Basketball won 81-46 over Prairie on Tuesday, Quinn Cafferty had a double-double with 20 points and 13 boards. Azarien Stephens had 17. The boys got a huge win Saturday over Dominican 75-62 to stay within a game of Martin Luther in the conference. Quinn had 17 points and Jermaine Tomlin added a double-double with 14 points and 17 rebounds!
Wrestling got a win over Living Word Lutheran on Tuesday night. David Dunlap and Daniel Sanchez came up with big wins for the team.
Boys Swimming and Diving lost to Ronald Raegan 97-59 on Tuesday night. Tray Gillentine was on the winning 200m relay team that cut off 8 seconds from its previous fastest time.
7th grade Girls basketball won the Dan Biesack Tournament at St. Lucy's this past week, girls on the team are Arianna Green, Jaysona Glass-Barnes, Vanessa Flores, Marissa Espinoza, Natalia Valeriano, Audreynah Gillentine, Angelica Nuno, Ellei Peterson, and Aniesa Neave.

Fun Fact of the week: David Dunlap and Jack Tao (Living Word Lutheran) were the first recipients of the "Sport of the game" award!
We will be having the spring sports meeting on Wednesday, February 13th. All teams will be having their parent meetings that night as well.
